What Happened To Asa Soltan Rahmati After Shahs Of Sunset

Asa Soltan Rahmati ended her journey as a main Shahs of Sunset cast member after 6 seasons, and it's time to let fans know what the former reality star has been up to in her years off-camera. Asa was an OG Shahs star, but she opted to give up her life as a television personality following a bitter feud with her co-star Mercedes "MJ" Javid and the birth of her son. From shifting her priorities to reflecting on her experience on the Bravo series, here's everything Asa has done since leaving Shahs of Sunset.

Asa was one of the original 6 cast members that starred on Shahs of Sunset when it launched in March 2012. Asa remained an essential part of the famed crew until she decided to leave the show after the series' sixth season in 2017. Although Asa returned to make a brief appearance on season 7, fans have remained curious about what the former Shah star has been up to since leaving the show.

One factor that viewers speculated added to Asa's desire to leave was her feud with MJ. When Asa was 8 months pregnant, MJ had called to her soon-to-be-born son a "b*stard child." Although they were once friends, Asa and MJ's relationship changed over time and their dramatic fallout overshadowed the positive moments they shared together throughout the series.

Asa Has Embraced Motherhood

On June 19, 2018, Asa made a statement on Instagram about her departure from Shahs of Sunset. Asa started off thanking her fans for all of their support before getting to the crux of the matter. "As you know, last year I gave birth to Soltan Jackson, my beautiful son." Asa explained that she wants what's best for Soltan and she believed "that is not being raised in front of the cameras." Asa shared that she had to focus on her son and her burgeoning business, Asa Kaftans. Asa admitted that she knew she would miss sharing her life updates with her fans, but she could no longer dedicate herself to the demanding Shahs of Sunset lifestyle. A couple of months after Asa's Instagram announcement, MJ and real estate agent Reza Farahan agreed that they understood why Asa chose to leave.

Asa Is Out Of The Shahs Of Sunset Loop

In May 2021, Asa spoke with Bravo and gave updates on what she's been doing since she stopped starring on Shahs of Sunset 4 years ago. Asa reported that she has kept busy raising Soltan. Additionally, Asa Kaftans is as successful as it's ever been. Asa shared that she hasn't kept in touch with her friends from the Shahs cast as they are caught up in the "bubble" that she is far removed from. Asa hopes that she can rekindle her friendship with her former cast members after Shahs of Sunset comes to an end but doesn't see herself fitting in with the crew before then. When asked if she was interested in returning to the reality series, Asa responded that although it was an “amazing chapter,” her family and career are top priorities, rather than the Shahs of Sunset scandals. Although Asa's reality TV stint was cut short to make room for her son and business, her legacy as a Shahs of Sunset OG hasn't waned since she exited the series. Asa no longer has her deep ties to the show's cast, but she doesn't regret giving up her drama-filled life for her new role as a mom and entrepreneur. While some fans might cling to the hope that Asa will return, it's safe to say she has put Shahs of Sunset behind her.
