Top Star Seemingly Injured During SummerSlam

It isn't known if the apparent injury suffered by Becky Lynch during SummerSlam is going to keep her out of action for any significant amount of time, but it appears Big Time Becks suffered a shoulder injury during the opening match of Saturday's big event.

During her title bout with Bianca Belair, Lynch noticeably started favoring her shoulder after taking a Glam Slam from the Raw Women's Champion. She was able to finish the match, ultimately losing, and she even took part in the storyline that followed the bell that included NXT arrivals Dakota Kai, Io Sky, and Bayley. But, Lynch was also seen favoring her shoulder on the way out of the arena.

There are no reports from WWE as to whether Lynch will be sidelined if she did suffer a legitimate injury or how serious her arm/shoulder issue is. If she is hurt, it is the first time she'll be unable to compete since she returned from having a baby and taking nearly a year off.

Lynch Toughed It Out... Or Sold Really Well

It is possible Lynch sold the match extremely well and played up the shoulder injury to help put Belair over and accentuate what appears to be a babyface turn. Lynch stood side-by-side with Belair after shaking her hand following the loss. Things didn't get physical between Bayley Kai and Sky and the two main top stars in the women's division, but it appears Lynch is crossing over to the good side.

Perhaps this was all part of a plan to get sympathy for her and get the crowd on her side. If it is, it worked well.

If there is an update on Lynch's condition, we'll be sure to update things. One would hope that Lynch isn't hurt, especially if the plan was to team her up with Belair for the next few weeks.
