The Galaxy Manicure Trend Delivers Out-Of-This-World Nail Looks

If you want to give yourself the perfect at-home manicure, the first thing you'll have to do is gather supplies. For the galaxy manicure, L'oréal Paris suggests starting by prepping your nails and applying a base coat. Then, choose your base, such as a good-quality black nail polish. You'll also need a makeup sponge, toothpicks, and any additional colors you'd like to use including a polish that includes sparkles and a top coat. 

The first step is applying the base nail polish directly to your nails. Do one or two coats and let them dry completely before moving on to the next step. Then, apply a thin layer of your second color to your nails and dab it with your makeup sponge, as nail artist Kelli Marissa demonstrates in her galaxy nail tutorial video on YouTube. Continue with each color you'd like to add. 

Lastly, take the toothpick, dip it in your white polish, and paint a dot on each nail to represent the stars. Finish with a top coat to protect your intricate work. You can also use a small, old paintbrush to paint on different designs.
