Ginny and Marcus' relationship was one of the most beloved parts of the show, but Ginny & Georgia's season 3 shouldn't rush to get them back together.
Summary
- Ginny and Marcus' breakup in Ginny & Georgia was amiable and sensible, allowing for the possibility of a potential makeup in the future.
- Both characters needed to focus on themselves and heal individually before attempting to reconcile their relationship in season 3.
- The show should not rush Ginny and Marcus' reconciliation, as it is crucial to portray a healthy example of love and build anticipation for audiences.
Even though Ginny and Marcus’ breakup in Ginny & Georgia was one of the most devastating moments of the show, their reconciliation should not be rushed in season 3. Given the show’s popularity on Netflix, there is great demand for its return to see what happens next. There are a number of burning questions Ginny & Georgia season 3 hopefully answers as the story continues. One of which is what will become of Ginny and Marcus, who were last left as friends after a painful breakup.
Many TV breakups are so brutal that the door is slammed shut on the couple finding their way back to one another. Ginny & Georgia season 2's ending was careful not to do this, though. Their breakup was amiable and sensible, with no betrayal involved. This allows for the possibility of a potential makeup between the two as the show progresses. Their chemistry and love for one another was undeniable, so it is not far-fetched to think they might find their way back to one another when the timing is right. While there is a desire to see Ginny and Marcus get back together, this should take time.
Ginny And Marcus' Breakup In Ginny & Georgia Season 2 Is For The Best
Although Ginny and Marcus were a beloved couple, their breakup is actually to their benefit. Marcus was not in the best place during season 2, as he found himself dealing with depression. During their heartbreaking conversation about ending their relationship, Marcus was extremely candid about where he was in his life, saying “I don’t have room for anyone else’s pain right now”. It was quite evident throughout their breakup that the couple still had a great deal of love for one another. Marcus wanted to avoid putting Ginny through additional hurt and trauma and knew he was not in the right place to continue in a relationship.
Given that Ginny was also working through her own respective trauma, it was the right decision for each to focus on themselves. Their ability to display such maturity by giving each other space to grow was admirable and provided a strong example for audiences. The breakup left both Ginny and Marcus distraught but given the reasoning behind it, it was the right decision. This puts both characters in a spot where they can grow individually in season 3 before eventually attempting to reconcile their relationship.
Ginny & Georgia Season 3 Shouldn't Rush Ginny And Marcus' Reconciliation
Considering the fact that the two broke up for very valid reasons, it is crucial that they do not rush to get back together in season 3 of Ginny & Georgia. The show should allow both to heal within themselves before having them reunite. This will allow them to come together stronger and could lead to them being end-game. Rushing it could have the opposite effect and lead to their relationship becoming irreparable.
With the show having a large audience of teenage viewers, Ginny and Marcus have the opportunity to serve as an example of healthy love and the show should not take it lightly. Not rushing to get them back together right at the beginning of season 3 also builds anticipation, which would only make them getting back together even sweeter for audiences. And, with Ginny & Georgia confirmed to have a season 4, as well, it has the liberty of taking things slow.
