5 Current WWE Wrestlers Who Weigh Over 300 Pounds (& 5 Who Surprisingly Don't)

WWE was always titled as 'The Land of the Giants' and, to this day, that hasn't changed: the Connecticut-based promotion still focuses to a certain extent on larger wrestlers, especially when compared to other rival promotions like AEW. It is therefore no surprise that WWE still employs a lot of meaty men that tip the scale at over 300 pounds.

However, it is sometimes hard to tell where that boundary lies. Muscles are generally heavier than, well, non-muscles and so looks can be deceiving. Here then are five examples of wrestlers that break the 300-pound mark - and 5 wrestlers that fall just short of it (all weights according to wwe.com).

10 Over: Braun Strowman (385 lbs)

Braun is the heaviest contender in this list at 385 pounds. While the big man has leaned down significantly since his return, Braun still carries a lot of muscle mass across his big frame. As a result, he still easily exceeds the 300-pound mark and doesn't fall too shy of Omos (who weighs just over 400 pounds, according to wwe.com.)

9 Under: Baron Corbin (285 lbs)

At first sight, it seems logical that Baron Corbin doesn't reach the 300-pound mark. However, his looks are somewhat deceiving. Corbin, while not blessed with the greatest physique, is deceptively tall. His height is then what catapults him up to 285 pounds - almost ten pounds above Bobby Lashley - and puts him just fifteen pounds shy of the magical mark.

8 Over: Otis (330 lbs)

Otis kind of has the opposite effect to Baron Corbin: he appears even heavier than the 330 pounds he is listed at. However, Otis is on the shorter side when it comes to height and that is what keeps him well below the 400-pound mark - compared to, for example, Bam Bam Bigelow, who looked about as big as Otis but was significantly taller.

7 Under: Bray Wyatt (285 lbs)

Bray Wyatt was always a bigger guy, and it is therefore no surprise that he is close to 300 pounds. What makes it surprising that he remains under that mark is the fact that Bray is also relatively tall when compared to some guys on the list that cross the mark. However, as of today, WWE.com lists Wyatt at 285 pounds and therefore at the same weight as Baron Corbin.

6 Over: Bronson Reed (330 lbs)

What has been said about Otis could be copied and pasted here: Bronson Reed may appear a little heavier than he actually is as he is relatively short for a big man, especially when compared to the likes of Braun Strowman or Baron Corbin. He is even listed at the same weight as Otis: 330 pounds. Put the two side by side and it seems pretty fair to say that they are not far off from each other in terms of weight.

5 Under: Brock Lesnar (286 lbs)

TV does not do Brock Lesnar justice. His size is something that truly becomes apparent when seeing him live. However, as a prime athlete, it is unsurprising that Lesnar clocks in just under the 300-pound mark. As much muscle as Lesnar possesses, he is of average height for a WWE wrestler (6'3") and therefore there is only so much room to distribute those muscles. Nonetheless, Brock is truly a beast.

4 Over: Top Dolla (330 lbs)

As the list has shown, height plays an important factor when looking at a wrestler's weight. Like Baron Corbin, Top Dolla is a prime example. Similar in height to Corbin, Dolla carries a little more weight around the midsection and hence clocks in at the same weight as the larger-looking Otis and Bronson Reed. It may also explain why his infamous dive attempt didn't pan out.

3 Under: Luke Gallows (290 lbs)

One guy with a similar body type to Corbin's is Luke Gallows. Compared to Corbin, however, Gallows appears a little more muscular which can lead to the thought that Gallows may cross the 300-pound mark. However, Gallows is a mere five pounds heavier compared to Corbin, which brings him to 290 pounds. Looking at Gallows' earlier runs as the Fake Kane and Festus, it also looks like he lost some weight compared to those days.

2 Over: Ivar (305 lbs)

Ivar of the Viking Raiders is - like a lot of people from this list - extremely agile for his size. Similar in height to the likes of Otis and Bronson Reed, he looks a little slimmer - and that's because he is: Ivar tips to scale just over 300 pounds at 305. Eric, by comparison, clocks in at a somewhat surprisingly lean 247 pounds which leaves their combined weight at under 550.

1 Under: Gunther (297 lbs)

Gunther's body transformation over the last couple of years is truly astonishing. When the former WALTER arrived in WWE, he was clearly above the 300-pound mark. At the time of this article, WWE.com has Gunther listed at 297 pounds - and that seems outdated. The Intercontinental champion looks closer to being around 265 pounds and therefore in the range of guys like Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, and Sheamus.
