10 Worst Tattoos In WCW History

WCW helped produce some of the biggest wrestling stars of all time. The nWo, Sting, and Flair all elevated their stature in the world of wrestling at the company. Along with big time stars, WCW also featured a long list of inventive wrestling attires, from Sting's face paint to Vader's iconic mask.

Many WCW wrestlers also sported great tattoos that complimented their ring attire. Goldberg, for example, had one of the most copied tattoos of all time with his shoulder tat. Not every tattoo was as great as Goldberg's and this list will examine ten tattoos that were as awful as WCW's programming in its later days on the air.

10 John Tenta's Massive Shark

John Tenta went through a few gimmicks in WCW. He was Avalanche, The Shark and John Tenta. He never held a single title in WCW, but did have an awful tattoo.

As "Avalanche," Tenta sported a decent tiger tat on his right shoulder. When he began to adopt "The Shark" gimmick, Tenta covered the tiger tattoo with a shark that occupied his shoulder in all the worst ways.

9 Bam Bam Bigelow's Flame

Bam Bam Bigelow was a Japanese and ECW wrestling star before arriving to WCW. One of his most notable features was his head covered in a flame tattoo. Face and head tattoos are more common in the 2020s, but Bigelow's head tattoo was way out there in the 90s.

Just because it looks interesting doesn't mean it looks "good." The tattoo is iconic, but few people would honestly want it on their heads.

8 Kevin Nash's Dragon Fighting A Tiger

Many WCW fans may not even realize that Kevin Nash had a tattoo on his right arm during his entire time at the company. He often wrestled (and appeared) with a wristband that covered the tattoo on his right arm.

Kevin Nash was unapologetic for most of his career, so the covering up of his tattoo should tell fans how awful the ink on his arm was. It's basically a bad biker tattoo.

7 Buff Bagwell's Line

Buff Bagwell had a few shining moments in WCW but is mostly a forgotten wrestler that competed at the company. His tattoo was as bland as his early years. Bagwell had a line tatted across his left arm.

It seems to be a "nothing" tattoo and if Bagwell wanted to cover up a centimeter of his bicep he should have just used a thin sweatband like Ultimate Warrior.

6 Diamond Dallas Page's Pec Star

Diamond Dallas Page became one of the top guys in WCW. He competed in the company for half a decade before becoming the WCW World Champion and has a ton of massive tattoos on his arms. Most of them are good to great looking.

Along with decent tattoos, Diamond Dallas Page has a star tattooed over his right pec. It is a randomly placed tattoo that seems like a drunken piece of ink that followed him through all his success at WCW.

5 Johnny The Bull's Three-Faced Snake

Johnny The Bull rose to fame in WCW as one-half of The Mamalukes (with Big Vito). He won the tag team titles and the Hardcore Championship in the company.

Although he was known as "The Bull," Johnny had a strange snake tattooed on his left arm. It always seemed out of place on his shoulder and worked much better when he adopted the Relik gimmick at Impact Wrestling.

4 Konnan's Looney Tunes Tat

Konnan was able to shine as a member of the nWo. Before Eddie Guerrero or Rey Mysterio was the top Latin wrestler on television, Konnan was the guy. He has a ton of strange tattoos, but none are worse than the Looney Tunes tattoo on his right shoulder.

Roadrunner, Bugs Bunny, and Tazz are cool, but the luchador in the middle makes this tattoo look like a 12-year-old picked the design.

3 Perry Saturn's Old English

Perry Saturn had a decent run in the late 90s in WCW. His tattoos are sporadically placed on his body, but the look worked for him no matter how strange the gimmick he portrayed.

The only out-of-place tattoo on the front of Saturn's body is the old English "Saturn" over his belly button. Rey Mysterio notably has the word "Mexican" tattooed over his navel and it looks great, but the same isn't true for Saturn. It's hard to read and looks like it says "Sacurn."

2 Rick Rude's Anchor

Rick Rude was WCW United States Heavyweight Champion and WCW International World Heavyweight Champion. He is, to this day, one of the most underrated wrestlers in the history of WCW. Rude was known for his good looks as "Ravishing" Rick Rude.

One part of Rude that was never ravishing was the tattoo on his right arm. The anchor is not only a canned idea, but it did little to add to the appeal of Rude as a wrestler. When he was covered in baby oil, the top of the anchor started looking like a pelican face.

1 Rick Steiner's Dogface Gremlin

Rick Steiner is one-half of one of the greatest tag team units of all time, The Steiner Brothers. The WWE Hall of Fame tag team dominated the tag team divisions in both WWE and WCW. Along with some strange attire choices, Rick Steiner had one of the most random tattoos of any wrestler in WCW.

He used "Dogface Gremlin" as a nickname earlier in his career, but it did not surface that often during Rick's time in WCW. It also was never a true part of his identity rendering his tattoo a huge jump. The tattoo he has on his right arm features a bulldog with a wonky font that reads "Dogface Gremlin."
